Unable to Complete KYC: Account Closure Guide

1. When Should You Apply for Account Closure?

At MEXC, KYC is an important step to ensure account security and compliant platform operations. Some users may be unable to complete KYC due to personal reasons. As a result, certain account functions, such as deposits or withdrawals, may be restricted. To assist users who are unable to complete KYC, MEXC provides the "Unable to Complete KYC - Account Closure" service to help them properly handle their remaining assets.

If you cannot complete identity verification and no longer wish to use your account, you can submit an account closure application through the official channel. Once approved, MEXC will assist with processing your remaining assets.

2. How to Submit an Account Closure Application

Navigation: MEXC website → Help Center → Self-Service → Unable to Complete KYC - Account Closure → Submit Application

Open the account closure page, review the eligibility conditions and important notices, then follow the on-screen instructions to submit your application. Make sure all account information is accurate before confirming the request.

3. What to Check Before Applying

Before submitting an account closure application, carefully confirm the following three requirements.

1. Handle assets that cannot be withdrawn. If your account contains an asset that cannot be withdrawn, trade, or convert it into an asset that can be withdrawn before applying. Otherwise, the relevant balance may not be transferred out successfully.

2. Confirm that the account has no risk control restrictions. Accounts subject to risk control restrictions cannot submit an account closure application. Contact MEXC Customer Service first to lift the restriction.

3. Confirm that no KYC application has been submitted. You are not eligible for account closure if the account has already completed KYC or if a KYC application has already been submitted.

4. What Happens After Approval?

Once the account closure application is approved, the following arrangements will apply.

Restricted funds become available. If the account contains restricted funds, they are expected to become available within approximately 10 minutes. After approval, only withdrawals and position closing will remain available. All other account functions will be disabled.

A seven-day asset handling period begins. Seven days after the application is approved, the account will no longer have access to MEXC services and will be permanently frozen. Withdraw all remaining assets before this period ends to avoid potential losses.

The account closure cannot be reversed. Once the account enters account closure status, it cannot be restored, and the application cannot be canceled. Do not deposit any additional assets into the account, as they may become inaccessible or result in losses.

5. Important Reminder

Account closure is an irreversible action. Carefully consider whether it is necessary before submitting an application. If you proceed, follow the instructions above and withdraw all assets within the seven-day handling period.

If you encounter any issues during the process, contact MEXC Customer Service through the MEXC website.
