Trump-linked Wlfi Approves Token Buyback Plan For Enhanced Value

In a move aimed at revitalizing its declining value, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a crypto project associated with the Trump family, has successfully passed a governance proposal to implement token buybacks and burns. The initiative comes after the platform faced significant price depreciation since its launch, prompting community-led measures to stabilize and increase the token’s market appeal.

During Thursday’s voting, an overwhelming 99.8% of participants approved the plan, which dictates that 100% of the liquidity fees collected by WLFI will be allocated toward purchasing and permanently burning tokens. This approach is designed to reduce circulating supply and foster greater demand, a common strategy in the cryptocurrency space to boost token value. Only a minimal 0.06% community dissent indicates broad support for the move, according to data from WorldLibertyFinancial.com.

Once implemented, WLFI will gather liquidity across Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Solana, directing these assets toward open-market buybacks. The tokens acquired will then be sent to burn addresses, making them inaccessible and thereby reducing overall supply. However, specifics on the platform’s fee generation remain vague, complicating estimates of the potential impact on market capitalization and investor sentiment.

The vote followed the token’s launch on September 1, which was marred by a sharp 40% price drop in just three days—causing whales and retail investors alike to face substantial losses, as previously reported. Despite a burn of 47 million tokens on September 3, the price decline persisted, and WLFI now trades at around $0.2223, down more than 28% since debut, according to CoinMarketCap.

Exploring Additional Revenue Streams for Token Buybacks

The recent governance approval sets the groundwork for ongoing buyback efforts and marks the start of a broader strategy. WLFI also plans to diversify its revenue sources within the protocol to enable larger buybacks and further stabilization efforts.

Contacted for more details about future revenue strategies and buyback scope, WLFI did not respond before publication. The project’s developments continue to attract attention amid ongoing debates about regulation and market stability within the crypto industry.

Notably, high-profile investors such as controversial influencer and former kickboxing champion Andrew Tate have experienced significant losses on WLFI, with reported figures nearing $700,000 on decentralized exchanges. Despite setbacks, the Trump family’s crypto ventures seem to be financially lucrative overall, with their wealth reportedly increasing by approximately $1.3 billion in the week prior, driven by WLFI gains and the debut of their mining company, American Bitcoin.

Kalshi Jumps to 62% Market Share While Polymarket Eyes $10B Valuation

The post Kalshi Jumps to 62% Market Share While Polymarket Eyes $10B Valuation appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Fintech 19 September 2025 | 16:03 Event-based trading platforms are no longer niche experiments – they’re emerging as a major arena where finance, crypto, and information converge. After months of subdued activity, volumes are climbing again, and U.S.-regulated Kalshi has unexpectedly taken the lead. Betting on Everything From Rates to Sports Analysts at Bernstein describe prediction markets as a new “interface for information,” where users speculate not only on sports results but also on Federal Reserve decisions, quarterly earnings, and even crypto price moves. This year alone, more than $200 million changed hands on Polymarket contracts linked to the Fed’s recent 25 bps rate cut, while $85 million traded on Kalshi around the same decision. Mainstream brokers like Coinbase and Robinhood are watching closely, with ambitions to capture some of the momentum. With U.S. sports betting already worth tens of billions annually, the overlap is too big to ignore. Against that backdrop, Kalshi has delivered one of its strongest months since the 2024 elections. The platform reports $1.3 billion in trading volume so far in September, accounting for 62% of global prediction market activity. Just a year ago, Kalshi’s share stood at 3%. CEO Tarek Mansour called the growth “remarkable,” noting that the exchange still serves only U.S. clients. Polymarket’s Pushback Its main rival, Polymarket, has logged about $773 million in trades this month. While that trails Kalshi for now, Polymarket has unique advantages: as a crypto-native platform, it has carved out strong global demand and is working toward a formal U.S. relaunch via its acquisition of derivatives exchange QCEX. The two platforms now stand as the clear leaders of the sector, though they embody different philosophies — one regulated from the ground up, the other built around decentralization. 200,000,000 XRP out in 2 Weeks: What’s Going On?

200,000,000 XRP out in 2 Weeks: What’s Going On?

The post 200,000,000 XRP out in 2 Weeks: What’s Going On? appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. In the last 14 days, wallets with between 1,000,000 and 10,000,000 XRP have reduced their holdings by around 200,000,000 tokens. This change, displayed by Santiment data, suggests that some of these holders are leaving the mid-level group, reducing their combined holdings to around 6.74 billion XRP.  They are not small retail accounts, but they also do not match the scale of the very largest XRP players.  Such movements usually matter because of the amount of supply in control, which can influence short-term trends. Of late, these whales have clearly been reducing their holdings. The XRP price has been trending down while XRP has been levitating close to $3, bouncing between $2.90 and $3.30, without going in a clear direction.  The fact that these wallets are selling could be one of the reasons why the token has struggled to increase in value, even though the general crypto market has had a mix of positive and negative days. Why do XRP whales sell? One possibility is that these holders are simply taking profit after XRP’s climb earlier in the summer.  Another reason is caution: with the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision coming up and money availability across markets looking uncertain, some investors may prefer to derisk their exposure now instead of holding amid price chaos. It is important to know that not all of these tokens have been moved to cold storage.  The number of XRP going into exchanges has gone up, which suggests that some of the 200 million XRP has been sent to trading platforms. This means that some of the selling pressure could be transferred to the open market if those tokens are moved directly there. Source: https://u.today/200000000-xrp-out-in-2-weeks-whats-going-on
