The Los Angeles Rams trekked over the pond to show that quarterback Matthew Stafford could walk on water.

OK that’s a stretch, but not by much.

Stafford was the shining star by throwing five touchdown passes in the Rams’ 35-7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

The Rams (5-2) jumped to a 21-0 lead and then breezed to the triumph in the NFL’s international series outreach to expand its brand.

L.A. turned to an old hand in Stafford and he produced one of his finer performances while wearing horns on his helmet.

Not only did Stafford find different 10 different receivers on a day when his top target, Puka Nacua (ankle), was unavailable, but Stafford did so without heaving an interception.

The ageless Stafford, 37, continues yet another stellar season in his Hall of Fame career. In his 17th campaign, he entered the game as the NFL’s passing yards leader and he exited it with 17 touchdown passes against but two picks.

It wasn’t that long ago that Stafford’s status this season was in question.

He practiced sparingly during training camp because a balky back and with his number of trips around the sun, some speculated Stafford was done.

Not so my fast my friends, was Stafford’s reply. With another sensational showing, Stafford’s name has entered the MVP candidate conversation and why not?

He notched the fifth, five-touchdown passing game of his career which is tied for eighth in NFL history.

On Sunday, he found another veteran in Davnte Adams for three of his scoring passes and two rookies, wide receiver Konata Mumpfield and tight end Terrance Ferguson, for the other ones.

It matters little to Stafford if you’re earned your receiving stripes or are trying to. If you get open, Stafford will find you.

Stafford was 21 of 33 for 182 yards, and of course, those five touchdowns.

“I like where we are at,’’ Stafford said, not alluding to England but the Rams’ record and heading into a bye week. “But I still think there is more out there. We’re just trying to lean on each other as team.”

The first-place Rams, after sweeping the AFC South portion of their schedule, head home and kick their feet up, tend to their wounds and then welcome the New Orleans Saints to SoFi Stadium on Nov. 2.

“We brought the Rams House to London,’’ Adams said.

They also, thankfully, had an accurate right arm tag along in Stafford.
