Disney and Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, has officially ended its run in theaters.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps marks the fifth big-screen iteration chronicling the adventures of Marvel’s First Family of Superheroes, which is, if you count late producer Roger Corman’s unreleased Fantastic Four movie from 1994.

Officially, the first Fantastic Four movie— starring Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis and Julian McMahon — was released in 2005, and the cast, with the addition of Doug Jones, returned for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007. While The Fantastic Four: First Steps got off to a seemingly solid start by earning $117.6 million at the domestic box office in its first Friday to Sunday frame, the film took a disastrous drive in its second weekend in North American theaters with a 67% drop in ticket sales and never recovered.

According to box office tracker The Numbers, The Fantastic Four: First Steps ended its domestic run on Oct. 23, when it earned $436 in its 91st day of release to bring its final North American tally to $274,286,610.

Combined with the film’s international take of $246.350,312, the worldwide box office tally of The Fantastic Four: First Steps ended up at $520,636,922.

How Much Will ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Clear?

Given that most films generally split their box office earnings 50-50 with theater owners — a percentage often reported by the major trade publications, including Variety — it stands to reason that Disney grossed about $260.3 million in ticket sales.

As such, if you use the conservative estimate of $200 million as the film’s production budget, that leaves the film about $60 million in the black before marketing costs.

Whether The Fantastic Four: First Steps ends its theatrical run in the black or red, though, depends on how much the film’s said marketing budget was. However, since none of the major trades nor the studio reported how much the film’s marketing costs were, there’s no way to officially determine whether the film ended its theatrical run in the black or red.

If the number is anywhere near the reported $100 million Disney spent to market its first summer superhero release, Thunderbolts* (via Variety), then the outlook isn’t looking too fantastic for the latest Fantastic Four movie when considering its overall theatrical take.

After marketing, there are other pluses and minuses to take into account for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Disney will have to pay out residuals and other miscellaneous expenses, yet at the same time, the studio will recoup money through licensing deals for merchandise, as well as PVOD and Disney+ streaming revenues down the line.

For those who missed The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theaters, the film is currently available on to purchase or rent on PVOD and is coming to streaming video on demand on Disney+ next month.

The post Crypto News: Donald Trump-Aligned Fed Governor To Speed Up Fed Rate Cuts? appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. In recent crypto news, Stephen Miran swore in as the latest Federal Reserve governor on September 16, 2025, slipping into the board’s last open spot right before the Federal Open Market Committee kicks off its two-day rate discussion. Traders are betting heavily on a 25-basis-point trim, which would bring the federal funds rate down to 4.00%-4.25%, based on CME FedWatch Tool figures from September 15, 2025. Miran, who’s been Trump’s top economic advisor and a supporter of his trade ideas, joins a seven-member board where just three governors come from Democratic picks, according to the Fed’s records updated that same day. Crypto News: Miran’s Background and Quick Path to Confirmation The Senate greenlit Miran on September 15, 2025, with a tight 48-47 vote, following his nomination on September 2, 2025, as per a recent crypto news update. His stint runs only until January 31, 2026, stepping in for Adriana D. Kugler, who stepped down in August 2025 for reasons not made public. Miran earned his economics Ph.D. from Harvard and worked at the Treasury back in Trump’s first go-around. Afterward, he moved to Hudson Bay Capital Management as an economist, then looped back to the White House in December 2024 to head the Council of Economic Advisers. There, he helped craft Trump’s “reciprocal tariffs” approach, aimed at fixing trade gaps with China and the EU. He wouldn’t quit his White House gig, which irked Senator Elizabeth Warren at the September 7, 2025, confirmation hearings. That limited time frame means Miran gets to cast a vote straight away at the FOMC session starting September 16, 2025. The full board now features Chair Jerome H. Powell (Trump pick, term ends 2026), Vice Chair Philip N. Jefferson (Biden, to 2036), and folks like Lisa D. Cook (Biden, to 2028) and Michael S. Barr…
