Bruce Springsteen’s biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere opened wide globally on Friday (October 24). Interest in the rock legend’s movie was high, and the project raked in more than $16 million at the box office worldwide, including more than $9 million in the United States alone in just the first few days it was in cinemas.
Fans in the United Kingdom are paying very close attention, as the newly-released film helps one of Springsteen’s albums — which plays a central role in the movie’s narrative — soar to a never-before-seen high, becoming a strong seller decades after its release.
What Is Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere About?
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere follows the singer-songwriter relatively early in his decades-long career. By the time the movie begins, he’s already found great commercial success and is looking to grow with his next chapter. Springsteen takes a dramatic turn, just before Born in the U.S.A. and decides to release Nebraska, his misunderstood acoustic collection that was confusing to many at the time, but which has since been recognized as one of his greatest artistic achievements. It makes sense, then, that Nebraska is one of the musician’s most successful titles in the U.K. this week — and the one that manages to leap into a new peak position.
Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska Reaches a New Chart Peak
This frame, Nebraska rockets up the Official Album Downloads chart, the U.K.-focused ranking of the bestselling albums and EPs on download storefronts like iTunes. The title bolts from No. 92 to No. 38, entering the top 40 for the first time.
Bruce Springsteen’s Three New Bestselling Albums in 2025
As it climbs, Nebraska earns Springsteen his third new top 40 bestseller on the Official Album Downloads chart in 2025 alone. Back in May, he dropped The Land of Hope and Dreams EP, which peaked at No. 6. A short time later, after a version of Born to Run barely made it to the tally, his massive box set Tracks II: The Lost Albums also appeared. That seven-CD project soared even higher, hitting No. 4.
What Is Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska’s Chart Peak?
Nebraska has now spent just two weeks as one of the top-selling downloaded albums in the U.K. The title debuted at No. 92 only a few days ago, perhaps in anticipation of Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, and now becomes a top 40 success.

When the Official Charts Company publishes new rankings in a few days, Nebraska could climb even higher and perhaps land on multiple other tallies as well. Interest in the biopic will help fuel the set’s success, as will the release of a new version.
At the same time that the movie hit theaters everywhere, Springsteen dropped Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition, a box set featuring the original album as well as recordings from when the rocker and his backing band tried to turn his demos from simple folk into something larger. Those tracks, which many have connected to a long-expected release titled Electric Nebraska, are finally being shared with the public, years after many die-hard Springsteen followers had been hoping to hear them.
Bruce Springsteen’s Multiple Bestselling Albums
Springsteen doubles up on the Official Album Downloads chart this week. As Nebraska breaks into the top 40, the singer-songwriter’s Greatest Hits reappears out of nowhere, finding a home at No. 30 dozens of weeks into its time on the tally.

Even as Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere reaches theaters and makes millions at the box office, the superstar himself falls from No. 1 on a U.K.-based ranking. His Best Of dips from the top spot to No. 2 on the Official Americana chart, while Tracks II: The Lost Albums improves by one space, pushing to No. 23 after previously running the show.
