WareMatch and ShipPlug Partner to Automate Carrier Refund Recovery for 3PLs

WareMatch, a marketplace connecting shippers with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, has announced an exclusivity partnership with ShipPlug, a shipping intelligence company that automates refund recovery from FedEx and UPS. The integration is now live on warematch.com, positioning WareMatch to offer a free, automated refund service to its network of 3PLs and shippers.

ShipPlug’s software monitors carrier invoices, flags late deliveries, and automatically files refund claims against FedEx and UPS service guarantees. Businesses simply connect their account number, and ShipPlug handles the rest, charging no upfront fee but taking a percentage of recovered savings. Through this agreement, WareMatch licenses ShipPlug’s technology and makes it available at no additional cost to every warehouse and shipper on its platform.

This partnership addresses a persistent industry gap: carrier refunds for late deliveries are widely underclaimed. FedEx and UPS both offer service guarantees, but most shippers lack the resources to consistently audit invoices and file claims. As a result, significant savings go uncollected. For 3PLs, this creates a tangible differentiator when pitching to prospective clients. A warehouse can now promise automatic refund recovery from day one, enhancing their value proposition.

Ryan Kalisky, CEO and co-founder of WareMatch, emphasized the strategic fit: ‘This partnership allows us to bring an additional layer of operational value to our users while helping ShipPlug expand deeper into the 3PL market. Many companies simply do not have the time or internal processes to consistently monitor refund claims and shipping invoice discrepancies, causing savings opportunities to go unchecked.’ He noted that ShipPlug’s non-invasive, user-friendly product aligns closely with WareMatch’s approach to user experience.

Nick DiNatale, CEO and co-founder of ShipPlug, highlighted the impact on 3PL clients: ‘We’ve seen 3PL clients recover thousands in carrier refunds they didn’t even know they were owed. Pairing that with lower rates from day one? That’s a story 3PLs can bring to every prospect conversation they have.’ He added that the integration runs passively in the background, requiring no workflow changes from warehouses.

For WareMatch, the deal provides a free value-add for its users, while ShipPlug gains structured access to the 3PL market for the first time. The partnership is especially relevant for businesses that ship with FedEx or UPS and do not currently audit invoices, as well as 3PLs seeking an enhanced offering for shipper clients. WareMatch, founded in 2025 and headquartered in Montreal, serves shippers looking for fulfillment, e-commerce warehousing, and flexible capacity across the U.S. More information is available at warematch.com and shipplug.com.
