'They are not telling us': Speculation swirls as Trump goes MIA after his hospital visit

The internet was questioning why President Donald Trump has gone missing from the public eye just eight days after a hospital visit.

Trump has held only closed-door meetings in recent days and his last live appearance was during a cabinet meeting at the White House on May 27. The White House has not commented about when he will have public events again.

People online were speculating about what might be happening with Trump and raising questions about his health. Some political commentators and media experts called out the hypocrisy of media not covering Trump's health the same way that former President Joe Biden's health had been monitored.

"The president is currently scheduled to maintain a closed schedule today. Besides weekend glimpses of him playing golf, and a taped TV interview with his daughter-in-law that aired Saturday, he has not held a public event in a week," Ed O'Keefe, CBS senior White House & political correspondent, wrote on X.

"Something is going on with Trump’s health that they are not telling us," news network MeidasTouch wrote on X, responding to a post from journalist Aaron Rupar commenting on a possible swollen area under Trump's right eye.

"The media is once again spending countless hours talking about Joe Biden's health while largely ignoring Trump's obvious physical and mental decline. The President of the United States hasn't been seen on live TV in a week, yet nobody in Washington seems interested in asking why. Why doesn't the same standard apply?" Democratic political strategist Mike Nellis wrote on X.

"I’m not here to spread conspiracy theories. But I am here to ask journalists who made age & fitness the most covered issue of 2024 why they don’t seem to care," political commentator Jamesetta Williams wrote on X.

"Trump has been missing for 6 days now. He had his 3rd annual physical in 13 months, BURIED the medical report at 11pm Friday night, and now hasn’t been seen going into a 7th day. Just IMAGINE if it were anyone else," David Pakman, host of the progressive podcast The David Pakman Show, wrote on Bluesky.
