The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) today officially opened its seven flagship lifestyle and licensing events, drawing some 5,600 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions. The events, running from April 28 to 30 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo, include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, Fashion InStyle, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and the Asian Licensing Conference. The gatherings underscore Hong Kong’s position as a key gateway for global businesses connecting with the Chinese mainland, leveraging its robust innovation ecosystem and intellectual property infrastructure.

HKTDC Executive Director Sophia Chong stated: ‘Hong Kong has long served as the key gateway for global businesses connecting with the Chinese Mainland, playing the role of super connector and super value-adder that bridges the Chinese Mainland’s vast market with the rest of the world.’ This sentiment is reflected in the diverse range of products and services on display, from creative gifts and home products to cutting-edge fashion materials and licensing opportunities.

At the Gifts & Premium Fair, highlights include the Camel Brand MINI20 thermos blind box, co-branded for Bruce Lee’s 85th birth anniversary, and the Hall of Fine Designs featuring over 100 exhibitors. Home InStyle presents the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion, showcasing smart living solutions and gerontechnology products like the TechFitX Smart Sports Training System and IntuCREW power-assist solution. The Cultural and Creative Avenue gathers design institutions from over 10 countries, with Pantone returning as colour partner to showcase the 2026 Colour of the Year ‘Cloud Dancer’.

Fashion InStyle’s NEXT@Fashion InStyle zone, sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), features over 60 exhibitors demonstrating material innovation. Notable exhibitors include Belgium’s Bloom Biotech with microalgae leather, Finland’s Spinnova with next-generation textile fibre, and Vietnam’s Thai Son S.P. Co., Ltd. with ramie fabric. Project ambassador Han Chong leads six local designer brands in creating cross-disciplinary collections using forward-looking materials from suppliers worldwide.

The Hong Kong International Licensing Show introduces a new IP and e-Commerce Support Services zone, uniting e-commerce platforms, KOLs, and marketing firms to help brands capitalize on e-commerce growth. Headline IPs include Potatoz by 9GAG Limited, LuLu the Piggy, and Café de Bollo, alongside IPs from the Chinese mainland, Korea, and Thailand. The concurrent Asian Licensing Conference features industry leaders discussing global licensing trends and sports licensing strategies ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

Throughout the fairs, around 60 thematic seminars will cover topics such as the silver economy, sustainability, and generative AI in printing. The events highlight Hong Kong’s role as a super connector, bridging innovation and market opportunities across industries.
