Ghislaine Maxwell sends new material to the DOJ: report

Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell submitted a USB drive to the Department of Justice to support her appeal against her 20-year prison sentence, according to The Swamp, The Daily Beast's Substack.

The contents of the digital file remain unclear, though calls to make the materials public are expected.

Maxwell made the move one week after first lady Melania Trump released a public statement at the White House denying any connection to Maxwell and the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Swamp noted the timing, commenting, "Ghislaine Maxwell didn't want Melania Trump to be the only one to have her say over their mutual pal Jeffrey Epstein."

Maxwell was convicted as Epstein's co-conspirator in sex trafficking operations. The submission represents a significant development in her ongoing legal appeal.
