Can You Still Get In Early? SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic and Databricks IPO Plans 2026
Key Takeaways
- SpaceX listed on Nasdaq as SPCX on June 12, 2026 at an IPO price of $135.00, selling 638,888,888 shares with the underwriters' option exercised in full, about $86.2 billion gross and $85.7 billion net.
- Anthropic filed its public S-1 on October 26, 2026 to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market as ANT; its share count, price range and date are still blank, and its roadshow cannot start before November 10.
- OpenAI has only a confidential draft, submitted June 8, 2026, and its CEO said in September, "I would say not 2026."
- Databricks has filed nothing; its own August 2026 release put its valuation at $190 billion, and its CEO called 2026 "a terrible year to go public."
- Anthropic treats unapproved share transfers as void, which closes off most retail routes to its stock.
- MEXC's Pre-IPO contracts quote valuation in billions, so the contract price works as a market-implied valuation.
The question in the title has four different answers, one per company.
For SpaceX the early window closed in June, when the shares started trading.
For Anthropic the paperwork is public and the date is not.
For OpenAI there is only a confidential draft the public cannot read, and for Databricks there is no paperwork at all.
This guide keeps all four in one place, marks every claim as filed, company-announced or reported, and explains what exposure exists at each stage.
SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic IPO Plans 2026: Who Filed, Who Stalled
SpaceX is listed.
Anthropic has a public registration statement on EDGAR.
OpenAI has a confidential draft the public cannot read, and Databricks has not filed.
The distinction between "confirmed" and "reported" runs through this whole page.
Confirmed facts come from a filing or from the company itself; reported facts come from journalists' sources and stay labeled that way until a document catches up.
| Company | Where it stands | Latest valuation figure | Next real milestone | Tradable on MEXC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SpaceX | Public on Nasdaq (SPCX) since June 12, 2026; IPO price $135.00 | Set by the market | Lock-up expiries, quarterly results | Stock futures, RealStock, tokenized stock |
| Anthropic | Public S-1 filed October 26, 2026; Nasdaq Global Select Market, ticker ANT; roadshow no earlier than November 10 | $965 billion post-money (company-announced Series H, May 28, 2026) | Amended S-1 with the price range, then the roadshow | Pre-IPO perpetual futures (converts to standard futures at listing) |
| OpenAI | Confidential draft S-1 (June 8, 2026); no public filing; CEO has ruled out 2026 | $852 billion post-money with $122 billion committed (company-announced March 31, 2026) | A public S-1, or a company-stated timeline | Pre-IPO perpetual futures |
| Databricks | Private, no filing | $190 billion (company-announced August 13, 2026) | A first filing | Pre-IPO perpetual futures |
| Cerebras | Public on Nasdaq Global Select (CBRS) since May 14, 2026; IPO price $185.00 | Set by the market | Lock-up expiries | Stock futures |
Anthropic is the only company in the table with a public registration statement that has not yet traded; everything about its timing beyond the 15-day floor is still ahead.

What Happened in the SpaceX IPO, and Where Does SPCX Trade Now?
SpaceX filed its public Form S-1 on May 20, 2026 and applied to list its Class A common stock under the symbol SPCX on Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas.
The company offered 555,555,555 Class A shares at $135.00 per share, about $75 billion before the underwriters' option.
With the option of 83,333,333 shares exercised in full it sold 638,888,888 shares, about $86.2 billion gross and, per its first quarterly report, $85.7 billion net of underwriting commissions and costs.
Trading began the session after the registration was declared effective.
The live SPCX price page shows where the shares trade now; the figures in this article are the dated history of the debut, not a current quote.
The S-1 is also where the warnings live.
It says profitability may not come or may not last, and it earmarks the proceeds for AI compute, launch vehicles and satellite capacity; the company's first quarterly report then showed an accumulated deficit of $41.9 billion at June 30, 2026.
The complete guide to SPCX and the $135 share price covers the listing in full.
What Did the SpaceX Debut Teach the Rest of the Queue?
SPCX opened at $150.00 on June 12, 2026, reached an intraday high of $176.52 and closed at $160.95, below the day's peak.
The lesson is that the opening print is the last moment when expectations alone set the price.
From the first close onward, earnings, lock-up expiries and ordinary sellers take over.
It also showed the calendar: public S-1 on May 20, pricing on June 11, first trade on June 12, a 23-day gap that is now the template people apply to Anthropic's October 26 filing.

When Is the Anthropic IPO, and Has Anthropic Filed Anything?
Anthropic has filed, publicly, and has not set a date.
Its Form S-1, filed October 26, 2026, applies to list Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol ANT, names 22 underwriters led by Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, and leaves the share count and price range blank.
Under the SEC's 15-day rule the roadshow cannot begin before November 10, 2026.
The filing replaced a summer of reported figures with filed ones: revenue of $16.3 billion and a net loss of $80.7 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, the loss driven mostly by a non-cash charge on convertible notes, and $131.7 billion of cash and short-term investments.
The last company-announced valuation remains the $965 billion Series H of May 28, 2026; the IPO valuation will be implied by the price range in an amended filing.
What the filing says about who controls the company, a single founders' share with 50.1% of the vote and a trust that elects a board majority, is in Anthropic's valuation and who owns what.
The step-by-step status is in the Anthropic IPO date and plans guide.
Can You Buy Anthropic Stock Before the IPO?
No. Anthropic's own investor notice says that sales or transfers of its stock that the board has not approved are void and will not be recognized on its books and records.
The same notice bars special purpose vehicles from acquiring its stock and warns that offers made through direct sales, forward contracts, tokenized securities or other mechanisms are likely offering an investment that may have no value because of its transfer restrictions.
Buying price exposure is a different thing from holding recognized ownership.
The three routes that exist until ANT trades are compared in the guide to secondary marketplaces, listed funds and pre-IPO futures.
Is OpenAI Going Public This Year?
No. OpenAI confidentially submitted a draft S-1 on June 8, 2026 and said in the same notice that it had "not decided on timing yet."
In an interview published by Fortune on September 12, 2026, Sam Altman called the present "an ill-advised moment to go public" and, asked about this year, said, "I would say not 2026."
No public S-1 from OpenAI has appeared on EDGAR.
The company's own numbers are in its March 31, 2026 funding post: $122 billion of committed capital at an $852 billion post-money valuation, "$2B in revenue per month," and more than 900 million weekly users.
Its recapitalization closed on October 28, 2025, leaving OpenAI Group PBC under the nonprofit OpenAI Foundation with Microsoft holding roughly 27%.
The two companies' filings and timelines are set side by side in Anthropic vs OpenAI IPO.
Is Databricks Going Public?
Not in 2026, on its own account, and it has filed nothing.
Databricks' August 13, 2026 release announced a $5 billion round at a $190 billion valuation led by Coatue, a revenue run-rate above $7 billion and growth above 80% year over year, and said nothing about a listing.
In June 2026 its CEO, Ali Ghodsi, told Bloomberg Television, "We will be a public company.
I just think this is a terrible year to go public."
He did not name a year, which leaves Databricks as the headline name furthest from any filing.

The Rest of the Tech IPO Queue: Cerebras, Anduril and the Watchlist
Cerebras priced 30 million shares at $185.00 on May 13, 2026, began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market as CBRS on May 14, and closed the deal on May 15 with the option exercised, about $6.38 billion gross.
Two more names filed publicly in September 2026: Nscale, for a NYSE listing as NSCL, and Oura, for Nasdaq as OURA.
Anduril has filed nothing, and neither have Stripe, Canva or Revolut; EDGAR shows no public registration statement from any of them.
Why Is xAI No Longer a Separate IPO Story?
Because xAI is now part of SpaceX.
SpaceX's S-1 and 10-Q record the xAI acquisition as effective February 2, 2026.
Anyone waiting for a separate xAI listing is waiting for something that has already happened inside another company's registration statement.
A Ticker Trap Worth Knowing
The crypto ticker XAI belongs to an unrelated blockchain gaming token, not to Musk's AI company.
Check what a contract actually tracks before you trade it.
Anthropic's real symbol, ANT, appeared in its S-1 on October 26, 2026; every string that circulated before that was a guess, and Polymarket's ticker market moved to 99% for $ANT by October 27.
How Can You Get Exposure to a Company Before It Lists?
Four routes exist, and they differ on what you end up holding.
Accredited-investor marketplaces deal in real shares behind a high bar and the issuer's approval; special purpose vehicles pool money, and some issuers prohibit them; listed funds are easy to buy but their price can drift from the value of what they hold; and pre-IPO derivatives give price exposure without shares, votes or dividends.
The SEC's investor alert on pre-IPO investment scams adds two cautions: pre-IPO offerings are not registered with the agency, and the company may never list at all.
MEXC lists USDT-margined Pre-IPO perpetuals for Anthropic, with leverage up to 50x, and for OpenAI.
The OpenAI contract works the same way, with no conversion date in sight.
The contracts express valuation in billions, so a contract priced at 800 implies an $800 billion valuation, and the gap between the last private round and the live contract price is a constantly updating read on what traders expect.
The Kimi Pre-IPO futures guide walks through placing a first trade on a contract of this kind.

What Happens to a Pre-IPO Contract Once the Company Lists?
The contract converts to a standard stock futures contract rather than disappearing.
Open positions migrate without liquidation, pending orders remain valid, and the mark price switches from the pre-listing index to the live share price, as the guide to what changes when a Pre-IPO contract becomes a standard contract explains.
That is what happened to the Londian Wason (FOIL) contract when the company listed on the NYSE on August 12, 2026, as MEXC's conversion notice records.
For Anthropic the conversion now has a known trigger: when ANT prices and begins trading on Nasdaq, the ANTHROPICUSDT contract becomes a standard ANT stock futures contract, and open positions migrate without liquidation.

Four IPO Mechanics That Catch Beginners Out
Lock-up periods come first.
Insiders cannot sell for a set window after listing, and prices often fall when that window ends.
The roadshow and book-building come next.
Underwriters gather demand from institutions and set the final price the evening before trading, which is why the price range appears only days before the deal.
Direct listings are different.
Existing holders trade their shares without a new offering, so the company raises no capital, and the first price is set by the opening auction alone.
Day-one pricing is the last trap.
The opening print reflects unmet demand, not a considered valuation, and SPCX's $150.00 open against a $135.00 offer is the 2026 example.
Is the AI IPO Wave a Bubble?
Nobody knows, and the strongest warnings come from the filings themselves.
SpaceX's $41.9 billion accumulated deficit at June 30, 2026 and its own caveat that profitability may not come or last are examples.
The best exhibit for both sides is now a filing.
Anthropic's S-1 shows a company that lost $80.7 billion in six months on paper, $72.4 billion of it a non-cash charge on convertible notes that rises when the company's own valuation does, while reporting $16.3 billion of revenue and a positive adjusted operating margin for the same period.
Whether that is a bubble depends on which of those lines you think the market will price; the IMF's note on the economic implications of artificial intelligence frames the macro side of the same argument, including the concentration of activity in a few core AI providers.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the Anthropic IPO date?
Not set; the public S-1 was filed October 26, 2026 and the roadshow cannot begin before November 10.
Has OpenAI filed for an IPO?
Confidentially, on June 8, 2026; no public S-1 exists, and its CEO has ruled out a 2026 listing.
What is SpaceX's stock ticker?
SPCX, on Nasdaq, since June 12, 2026.
Can I buy Anthropic shares before the IPO?
No; indirect exposure exists through Amazon's stake and through pre-IPO futures, which convey no shares.
Which tech company has already completed the largest listing this year?
SpaceX, which sold 638,888,888 shares at $135.00 in June 2026 for about $85.7 billion net.
Is Databricks going public this year?
No; it has filed nothing and its CEO called 2026 a terrible year to list.
What happens to a Pre-IPO futures contract if the company never lists?
Nothing converts; the contract keeps tracking the pre-listing index until MEXC changes or delists it, and the SEC's alert is a reminder that a company may never list at all.
Do Pre-IPO futures give me shares in the company?
No; they are USDT-settled derivatives that track the expected valuation and convey no shares, votes or dividends.
What to Watch Next
Three documents will move this page.
First, an amended Anthropic S-1 with the price range, which turns the $965 billion private mark into an implied IPO valuation.
Second, the final prospectus the morning after Anthropic prices, which sets the first-trade date for ANT and the conversion date for the pre-IPO contract.
Third, any public filing by OpenAI, which would restart its clock at 15 days.
Until then, the Pre-IPO contract pages show what traders expect.
The SPCX page shows what a completed listing looks like.
