Top 5 Meme Coins to Add to Your December 2025 Buy List, Led By Shiba Inu Rival Tipped to Explode 18831%

The final week of December 2025 is here, and the crypto market is acting as unpredictably as ever. While Bitcoin is bouncing around the $90,000 range, investors are seeking assets that can actually advance their net worth. The old guard of meme coins is starting to feel stale after a year where some of the biggest names spent more time in the red zone.

Smart money is currently shifting into younger, more agile projects that don’t just rely on jokes but actually build tools for their users. If you’re looking to clean up your portfolio before 2026 kicks off, here are five meme coins that are seeing the most accumulation right now.

1. Little Pepe (LILPEPE) Wins with Layer-2 Speed and Huge Prizes

The clear standout on this list is Little Pepe (LILPEPE), which analysts are predicting will experience a massive 18,831% rally. Currently priced at just $0.0022 in its 13th presale stage, it isn’t just a basic token; it is the native coin of a dedicated Layer 2 blockchain built to handle the fast-paced world of meme trading.

Unlike Ethereum, where gas fees can eat into your profits, Little Pepe offers lightning-fast transactions at almost no cost. This technical edge is a big reason why over 16.8 billion tokens have already been snapped up by early buyers. The project features a specialized Pump Pad (Launchpad), which allows new developers to launch tokens with built-in security and zero taxes. This creates a constant cycle of demand because LILPEPE is used to power the entire chain. In addition to the tech, they are running a life-changing $777,000 Giveaway that is attracting thousands of new users.

2. Dogecoin (DOGE) Fights to Maintain its Price

After a wild month, DOGE is finally starting to show some life. On December 25, trading at 0.135, DOGE took a sharp dive, dropping almost 9% in just one day. It’s no longer pulling off those wild 100x runs, but people still love it for its easy liquidity. If you look at the chart, DOGE is trying to build some real support here. However, unless we receive significant news, such as a substantial update or an Elon tweet, it’s just drifting sideways.

3. Pepe (PEPE) Coils for a Potential Breakout

Pepe Coin is hovering near $0.000031 as of December 26, grinding through a bearish stretch. All eyes are on this level, as it has previously served as a key level of support. The price is down about 23% from recent highs, but the community isn’t backing off. Most PEPE holders are scooping up more coins during these dips, betting the “frog” will leap first when the market flips bullish, maybe in early 2026.

4. Shiba Inu (SHIB) Struggles after a Rough Year

The giant supply is still a massive hurdle. SHIB is trading around $0.0000075. Even with the new Shibarium Layer-2, the price just can’t catch a break. Many people continue to hold SHIB due to its large community and the ongoing discussion about burning supply; however, with a lack of real momentum, numerous investors are eyeing younger, faster-growing coins.

5. Bonk (BONK) Stabilizes Around $0.000009 after Recent Dips

Bonk’s month has been rough. The price hit a string of new cycle lows, but that hasn’t scared off buyers, especially those who believe in the Solana ecosystem. There’s actually been solid accumulation here. Plus, the launch of the first BONK ETP in Switzerland shows that institutions are starting to take notice, even if the price hasn’t caught up yet.

Conclusion

If you want to make a move that actually counts before the year ends, the data points to Little Pepe (LILPEPE) as the winner. While Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are struggling with slow growth and poor price performance, Little Pepe is building a high-speed Layer-2 ecosystem. With a presale price of $0.0022 and a massive community already in place, it is the only coin on this list that has the fresh energy needed to hit that 18,831% target.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

This information comes from a new joint report on the state of the RWA market published on Sept. 17 by blockchain analytics firm Dune and data platform RWA.xyz. The focus on RWAs is intensifying across the industry, coinciding with events like the ongoing Real-World Asset Summit in New York. Sandeep Nailwal, CEO of the Polygon Foundation, highlighted the findings via a post on X, noting that the TVL is spread across 269 assets and 2,900 holders on the Polygon PoS chain.
