Fox Corporation (FOX) (FOXA) has named Amazon Web Services as its preferred AI cloud provider, building on a working relationship that started in 2022. The deal was announced on Thursday and expands the existing infrastructure partnership between the two companies.

The move puts AWS deeper into Fox’s media operations, from live streaming to content discovery. Both Amazon (AMZN) and Fox stocks were little changed in premarket trading after the news.
The new agreement centers on powering FOX One, the company’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform. AWS will bring in its Elemental MediaLive, MediaPackage, and MediaTailor tools, alongside AI and machine learning services including AWS Elemental Inference.
Together, these tools are designed to support scalable live and on-demand streaming. They also enable features like automatic content highlights, personalized recommendations, and real-time reformatting of broadcasts for social media platforms.
Samira Panah Bakhtiar, General Manager of Media & Entertainment at AWS, said the combination of Fox’s content library and AWS’s generative AI tools opens up “new ways to create, deliver and monetize content at scale.”
The two companies first partnered in 2022, and the relationship has expanded steadily since then. During the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Fox used Amazon Media Replay Engine to automatically publish 731 recap videos across 61 matches — a project that later expanded to other live events.
In 2023, Fox upgraded its streaming infrastructure using AWS to deliver 4K resolution with HDR color and sub-second latency. That same year, Fox showcased its AI and data platform at AWS Summit NY, using tools like Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Personalize, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Titan.
Fox’s platforms reach more than 300 million monthly active users.
AWS currently leads the cloud market with roughly 30% market share as of late 2025, according to Synergy Research Group. That puts it ahead of Microsoft (MSFT) and Alphabet’s Google (GOOG).
The Fox deal adds another high-profile media client to AWS’s roster at a time when cloud providers are competing aggressively for AI workloads across industries.
Most recently, Fox deployed AWS Elemental Inference to automatically reformat 16:9 live sports broadcasts into vertical formats for distribution on social platforms — in near real-time.
